Tori Spelling’s husband Dean McDermott opened up about social media trolls body-shaming their kids and how that has affected them! The topic was brought up on his latest episode of his Daddy Issues podcast.
During the broadcast, the man even revealed that he had a pretty concerning conversation with their 12 year old son, Liam who asked his dad if he was obese after reading some mean comments online about his weight.
As fans know, McDermott and Spelling have five kids together, including 11-year-old Stella, Hattie, 7, 6-year-old Finn and Beau, 2.
‘He said, ‘Dad, am I obese?’ I said, ‘Look buddy – there re some sick people in this world … and they need to do things like this. They need to say bad stuff about people. Think about it, son. You have a busy life,’ the dad recalls saying.
He went on to tell his son: ‘You have school, you have sports; do you think you have the time to go on Instagram, scroll through the people that you are following, and make a negative comment about someone?’ I said, ‘No, you don’t. You do not, and if you did, you would fill your time with something else. So just think about how sick these people are that they need to do that.’’
This is not the first time the man claps back at people body-shaming their young ones.

He also took a stand back in January after Tori posted a family pic.

‘That’s just mean and un-called for. They’re all going through different growth phases, and even if our children are on the bigger side, who cares. They’re healthy and happy and I’m sorry they don’t look like skinny supermodels. … You should be ashamed of yourselves for passing horrible judgment on innocent beautiful children, the dad said at the time
