No one really cared about this, but I’m pretty sure Jennifer Lopez blatantly lied all over the place as she and Casper Smart were breaking up. She was playing fast-and-loose with the timeline of everything, to make it seem like she and Casper weren’t together when he was sexting (and hooking up with) trans models. J.Lo tried to back-date the breakup in the press and pretend that Casper was a free agent, that her boy-toy wasn’t blatantly cheating on her with randoms. No one really cared because we were all so relieved that the whole sordid and tacky mess was finally over. But In Touch Weekly says that behind-the-scenes, Jennifer was in full “meltdown mode” during the breakup:
Jennifer Lopez has publicly maintained her composure following her split from Casper Smart. But now a friend of the singer tells In Touch that she’s not so stoic behind closed doors.
“Jennifer recently had a complete meltdown,” the pal tells the new issue of In Touch, adding that the American Idol judge was drinking champagne and completely lost it at her LA home recently. “She started throwing framed photos of Casper against the wall — there was broken glass everywhere, and the maid had to clean up after her. It was a crazy scene.”
Jennifer has been spending time lately with Dancing With the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy but those in her inner circle say she’s still dealing with her emotions over Casper, who reportedly was caught sexting with a transsexual model last month.
Sure, I’ll believe that. I think she cared more about Casper than she let on. There’s a reason he managed to stick around for much longer than most of us were expecting. And her ego probably took a big hit when she could no longer ignore the many, many stories of Casper’s extracurricular activities. So, what is she going to do about Casper now? Well, probably what she’s done in the past following a bad breakup – she goes back to her Santeria roots and casts some bad voodoo.

J.Lo, who turns 45 on July 24, dumped her 27-year-old boy toy after discovering he was cheating on her with transgender models. And although Casper insists it isn’t true, the couple split right around the time the rumor surfaced.
“Casper’s been told that J.Lo is fascinated with Santeria – an African-Cuban type of religion devoted to certain saints,” said the pal. “Animal sacrifice is central to Santeria and is essential for the worshipper to maintain a personal relationship with the spirit. Apparently, Jennifer has said she’s been into it since she was a teenager and she even credits it with helping her find both career success and love.”
Jennifer’s religious devotion apparently stems from the influence exerted over the singer by her “Madrina,” her Santeria spiritual mentor.
Said the friend: “Despite the split, Casper wants to stay on her good side. The last thing he needs is a hex put on him!”
In case you think the Enquirer is just making up sh-t, just know that Jennifer’s ex-husband Ojani Noa said in interviews that Jennifer was very involved in black magic, and she’s even participated in rituals sacrificing chickens and using the chicken blood on her body. I tend to believe it. I don’t think J.Lo is a religious purist – she’s flirted with Scientology, Santeria, Catholicism, whatever strikes her fancy. Maybe part of me wants to believe that J.Lo actually casts black magic spells. Santeria Gangster!
